2019 Scholarship Application
The Rockford Association for Minority Management (RAMM) offers a limited number of scholarships to African-American high school seniors in Winnebago County. The purpose of the RAMM scholarship is to recognize and reward personal and academic achievement and to help defray the cost of higher education.
Read and follow these instructions carefully before completing the application found at the BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE.
Please review all information prior to submitting your application.
Must be an African-American high school senior enrolled in a Winnebago County school.
Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
Must plan to attend an accredited 2-year junior college or 4-year college or university.
SUBMIT APPLICATION NO LATER THAN November 23, 2018.

Read the following CAREFULLY, and THOROUGHLY.
Online Scholarship Application. Fill in all the blanks. "N/A" may be entered in spaces that are not applicable. The application must be submitted by November 23, 2018. Please specify whether this application is for a 4-year or a 2-year institution.
Name and E-mail information of two individuals other than relatives who will provide recommendations on your behalf. One from an academic source and one from an extra-curricular source who knows the applicant well.
A typewritten essay of a minimum of 500 words answering the following:
"Describe something you have done during the past year that has made a difference in either your school or neighborhood or community."
*Suggestion: Type your essay in a word document first, and then copy/paste it into the appropriate field in the application. This will help you to accurately achieve the necessary word count and also safeguard you against any technical issues.
Official transcripts with test scores.

All information must be completed by November 23, 2018, WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
Applications submitted after the deadline date – November 23, 2018 – will not be accepted.

The application form will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. You must complete all four parts. There is no save feature so be sure to have all necessary information prior to starting.

Indicate whether this application is for a 2-year or 4-year college or university.

Courses taken and the grades received for the junior and senior years of high school. If you do not know your grades for courses you are currently taking, approximate a grade based on test scores.
List all extracurricular activities past or present. Include organizations and activities both in and out of school.
List scholarships or grants applied for/received; academic or community awards received.
List the names, e-mail and phone contact information of two individuals other than relatives who will provide recommendations on your behalf.
List current and previous employment. Begin with most recent.
